well spp its the name of my group that me and my friends started up (street provin performance). and yes it was shuttin off on me a lot.

 

When I put a new computer in, is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again?

I'm referring to is there something I can do to keep this new ECU from getting fried like the last one? When it gets hot you can put your ear up to the ECU and you can hear sizzling. I guess I can try to make something to keep heat away from it.

 

i would change the wires to the ecu. wats around ur ecu

 

Some just go bad...not much else you can do. You really don't want to cut and splice the PCM wires.

 

Yeah I dont want to do that! I thinking maybe something like a heat shield or a way to get more air passing over it...

 

Yes it works, but your mileage will suck. I still agree with everyone else, sounds like an overheating fuel pump to me, but maybe we are wrong...
