Ok i was driveing down highway turing on theoff ramp and i down shifted to second and i hear a clunk sound..well i started my way down the off ramp and it starts to clunk really bad so i pull over and i sit there and i decieded to see if i make it home and well i made it home..but it makes a tiny clunk sound the faster i go.. i ahve all the gears and they all seem fine. im thinkin it might b a throwout bearing or something inside the tranny.. any one have any idea of wht it might b or if i need a new tranny??? thanks

the last one i did was like 2 weeks ago..i can hear something inside or something turning faster when i go faster.. all i did was put it in 2nd about 25 30mph and clunk. it drives fine tho. so idk im getn [sm=badbadbad.gif]with this car too

 

prollly exploded part of the tranny by the bellhousing
was it like a loud CLUNK when it happend

 

no not really loud enough to make me stop my car..there is no oil or anything on the firewall or anything so nothing is leaking. and i drove it like this for 30-40 miles with that sound....hopefully its not the tranny. hopefully its like the throwout bearing or something like that.

 

was it comparable to like hitting a hammer on the ground?
im willing to bet its the bellhousing haas a window in it now happend to me

 

kinda but i looked at it and no holes int he bellhousing. ill look at it agian in the morning and c what i can c..how much would a tranny cost me??

and as far as the bellhousing, the hole wont be visable from the outside of the bellhousing, its on the inside where the bellhousing and tranny come together.
drain ur tranny fluid before you drive it anymore and see how it looks.

 

i dont have anything to put back in it tho.. what would i put back in it for fluid???
