Default 3.5" speaker location advice

So i have 3.5 inch audiobahn speakers and the bottom end is too big to fit in the dash i dont feel like ripping it all apart and i still dont think it will fit because on the drivers side the vent for the heating system is right there and it wont allow it to drop down far enough for me to get the dashboard cover back on. So i was thinking either ill sell them or re locate them. I have a 2 door so things are kinda tight...everywhere. Where would be a good spot to mount these speakers?

the audiobahn speakers have a huge magnet... and wont fit period in the neon dash... theres a set that rockford made that fits really nice after you round the hole...

How do you get at the mounting location for them? I'm wandering because I'm about to upgrade my setup, and i've never taken a dash out before...
Also, would the stock cd player be able to power an aftermarket set of 6x9's in the rear, 6 3/4" in the doors, and 3 1/2" in the dash, or should I rip the two year old sony exploder 52x4 out of my old car and use that instead?

Any recommendations on what to get for speakers also?
Tks for your time

the top of the dash pops in and out you just have to pry it up then pull it away from the windshield. The speakers should work as long as the ohms match the old ones.

The old stereo should have the power to push the speakers but you won't get better sound unless you upgrade from stock. If you don't want to cut up your dash, there are after market kick panels you can buy to mount the speakers in. I do believe they have multiple sizes available.

Makes sence to me. If the rears are any indication of how stock sounded, I'll be happy with it. I bought some dual brand 6.5" speakers (i've had good luck with them before, and with walmarts return policy... why not?)

I'm not understanding how to remove the dash, mabey i'm just too worried about breaking it (it's 30 degrees out). Any good way to pull it up and away from the windshield, like where to grab and stuff?

Tks

red arrow first, pull up then the yellow. the green is the hooks that hold the front down, if you pull up too much you can crack the dash.
