How do I evacuate the freon that's in it right now? I know I could take a screwdriver and just push that pin in the valve where you put freon in. Anything else I should know before I try and tackle this tonight?

Anybody at all? I drove it to Sherman, TX and it did so so... The pop off valve blew like every time I gave it a lot of gas, but other than that it did fairly well, I guess.
Anyone know a fix?

Acually, not to be an ***, just a fyi. It is illigal to openly vent freon into the air. It carry's a 50k fine and up to 10 years in prision... just to let you know... now...

To do it yourself just use a screwdriver and push down on all the shroder valves...

Is the A/C clutch gone out???

Well just so everyone knows, his car DOES NOT HAVE FREON IN IT!! It is a completely different refrigerant, called R134a, which is NOT hazardous to the environment.

I am thinking the A/C clutch went out.

thats not true, it does notkill ozone butis considerd a greenhouse gasand makes acid rain. Plus this is considerd a freon gas, as is any of the R refigerants

Active volcanos dump way more greenhouse gas, andcarbonmonoxidein one day; than everyone in the whole world could produce in their lifetime.

The clutch is still kicking in, it blows cold cold cold air. but then it builds to much pressure and that pop-off valve opens up and dumps some refrigerant, but continues to blow cold air, until it runs out of 134a. I've got a haynes repair guide which I now think this is something I can tackle myself. but I don't understand why after I put everything back together or get new parts and put them on, why I have to evacuate the system again?

Thanks
