MTX: 49mm
ATX: 52mm

plus the ATX has a different spring so the throttle response is better.

Size like said before...

Throttle response is only helped due to the spring... however you sorta have to re-learn how to drive it due to every time you go over a bump your foot is going to bounce off the gas pedle and jerk your car around...

you all know what im talking about...

I actually have never had that problem and my car came stock with the atx throttlebody cuz its an atx I've driven plenty of Cavaliers that have a stiffer pedal and they engage like ****.

The mtx tb is 46mm as mentioned, and has more material to narrow the opening ( and thus restrict air flow) just before the throttle plate. The atx tb is 52mm and a straight through design. There is no extra material just before the throttle plate, less air restriction leading to better mass air flow. Both tb's are the same design, but one flows more air than the other. With an mtx being more responsive, this mod is quite cheap and effective with an upgraded air intake.
