crane 14 or crane 20?? need to know
ok so other day i changed my spark plugs, and i have the mitsu vc, so i ad to take the vc off.
installed a gasket and the plugs and put a regular dohc vc on, no letters
sending my mitsu vc away to be pc
ok
well went to put the vc bolts back on, and 3 keep spinning, wont tighten
no leaks, no loss of compression, i dont think
so i have wanted a fully decked head anyway, and now this is another excuse to get one, one with holes that arent striped
so i am buying a dohc head
proffesionally port * polished
.045 milled
crane springs and retainers
i have a mopar ecu, iceman, atx tb, 2nd gen 58psi fpr, high flow cat, muffler delete
this is the next mod list;
i am gonna buy a p&p intake manifold, dohc headers,pt valvetrain stuff, udp
want to know
what cam should i get, i am looking for the most performance per dollar here
this car will be my dd, but i dont drive any more than 20miles a day

but seriusly, with crane springs and retiners
pt rockers and lifters
milled to .045,
will my head be able to cope with 18s or 20s?
and should i get os valves? or not?
i am not going to install head until i have udp, exhaust, and p&p intake mani

why not? really?
it will only be driven 20 miles 4 days a week
ill take my rocket out for a ride other days
or once i finish saving, that 02 gts final edition viper will be my dd

if im already speding like 400 on cams, i wanna get most bang for buck

why dont i want 20s?
i undertsand its my dd
for now
but i dont drive that much
and i want all the n/a power i can get
i am using a fully decked head, with all bells and whistles
and will be upgrading suspension, more than just axels
putting high compression pistons in
ported manifold
and free flowing exhuast
i want this to be the fastest all motor r/t
no turbo
no notrous
no methol
ALL MOTOR!!

If you were to put 20s+ in idle would be comprimised greatly and driving below 30mph would be difficult... most just get teh car moving and put it in 4th and drive to combat this but vac. is lost when lift and duration is so much higher making it harder for the car to idle smoothly....
