there are neon center consoles without arm rests?

convert to a second gen console out of a junk yard. its pretty easy (grab the e-brake lever/bracket too)

gives you an extracup holder where that useless dust collecting spot is under ur e-brake and makes the top of the arm rest fold back to give the rear passengers at least 1 cup holder.

No... Its requires you changing the ebrake bracket to the 2nd gen style. I believe you also need to cut something?

ive been looking into this for my daily driver with the 2nd gen swap

if you want to do it, get a second gen console, and ebrake handle/bracket assembly, and some longer screws (i believe 1.5" to 2" not sure)

you only have to cut if you plan on using your stock first gen ebrake, if you use the second gen its offset and fits perfect

if you use the first gen shifter boot, it will leave a gap at the back, but its about 1/16" gap, nothing you'll notice without looking for it, if you can get the second gen shifter boot, get it it matches perfect
