Found this on the net, thought it was interesting. Neon before neon existed.

 

wow that thing is weird looking. i like the looks of mine better..... that one is too futuristic looking even for 1991

Thank goodness they changed a lot of things, or else I wouldn't own a neon. That thing is hideous looking in my opinion.

personally, with a little bit of work on the side accents and front bumper I would probably take that over a original 1st gen. I personally think that what actually came out is hideous. Every day I see thousands of old neons and they look ugly and old and the headlights are gay and the front looks like a srt 4 with down syndrome and the back looks so boring... and don't get me started on the colors that are out there for 1st gen's. fugly fugly fugly. At least this prototype is a normal white and has crystal clear headlights.

 

Yeah it's not too hard for a concept car that never sees the sun, let alone any other real elements to keep crystal clear headlights, on it. And just wait a couple of years cause your going to think that you Neon is ugly, personally I think that the first Gens had a way better design and have a lot more character than the second Gens. Thats just what I think. All the first Gens really need is the 2.4 Turbo. Thats it.
