Default DOHC 2.0 with ATX

Does anyone have advice to beef up my engine for better performance? Or is it worth it to pay someone to to a 2.4 swap?

Thanks

John

How much do you think this would cost me? I would get a majority of used parts but what about labor? Thats probably the big cost.

Correction. The power is the same, it's the torque that is different.

To the OP, If you want to get quicker, swap to an MTX. It is a world of difference. If you wanna stick with the ATX, then look at this site...

Great thanks. What if I did switch to MTX? What am I looking at cost wise with labor?

Cost depends on what kind of deals you can find on the net. Anywhere from $500 to $1000 total.

Damn I wish I went to school for auto mechanics. I just called a local shop and they said $2000 in labor w/o equipment for a tranny swap and $1500 for an engine swap w/o engine just in labor!

And they would screw it all up.

nothing compares to a stick, but the ATX can be made fun with a stall converter and shift improver kit. Level 10 can provide both with their Convertors and Hydro System Valve Body.
