or you didn't use the right shims and now it's stuck on the flywheel, try rocking it back and forth, a few times, see if that helps.. maybe remove the starter, and see if it spins when you try to start it, then bolt it back up and see if it starts, if it spins, but wont spin when back on the car, then you may have screwed something up and locked up your flywheel. Which means taking the transmission loose again, and seeing what the heck has gone wrong.. I've seen lots of crazy things with cluches getting replaced, had one guy somehow ended up with a couple bolts in there that lodged between the flywheel and housing, and f-d everything up.. it was a mess... Anyway, good luck!

Actually I figured you already checked your battery voltage, and made sure your cables are tight, but weatherman is right, elementary thing to check, so check it.. loose cable will cause this problem... as well as just being dead.. so check it all out...

I checked the tightness of the cables and everything was tight, I dont have a tester my buddy fried it when we did his Geo build, tomorrow Ill go out and throw the charger on it for a minute or try to jump it and see what happens.

Jimk, I havent had to use shims before, would there be a possibilty for the need of shims now? And i dont think theres anything lodged in the flywheel, because I can get it to run fine if I pop start it, and there wasnt any excessive noise coming from in there.

Also, sorry to all the people I my have offended with the title. Im not a very religious person, so that probably explains it all. Ill try the battery bit first, if not, well, ****.

try cleaning the battery posts really well, they should shine. This really sounds like a electrical power issue. If you have a volt meter make sure the stater solenoid is seeing 12v when you trun the key

Well as I know it the power goes from your batt, key sw, starter relay, clutch switch then your starter. Usual case atleast. What I would do is ohm out your clutch switch or press it and use a test light at both terminals and make sure your power is at both sides depressed . to me it sound like you have a problem with your clutch switch.
