does it still start and run?

If so, slap your dash with about the same force u'd use to slap your girl, and see if it comes back on.

If so, you get to resoder your instrimunt panal.

What if she likes a little discipline sometimes?

You may not have done it correctly. Make sure the point changes color. You may have to add some solder.

Yes. when I did my wifes car i had to add solder to the pins. If you have a stedy hand you can add flux for a flawless connection with a fine tiped hobby paint brush, then add silver solder. Use a decent soldering iron also. none of the cool to the touch tip soldering irons, to me, do not seem reliable.

Try adding solder first, if not, you might have overheated something. A new cluster is like $30 at a yard. Are your other gauges working?
