Exclamation Cat cloged?

Well, I think the cat is clogged as the title says. I am not sure what symptoms I should be looking for to determine if the cat is cloged or not.

95 plymouth SOHC

Symptoms include:
1. rough below idle rpm's (not sure no tac)
2. exhaust leak sound that gets louder as you near the exhaust outlet behind the car.
3. codes 12 & 13 map sensor voltage to low and or vacuume leak
4. glowing red near the cats inlet and outlet.

I have checked up and down for vacuume leaks and have found none. replaced the MAP sensor with a JY-sensor.

what else should I look for?

The glowing red is a dead give away...
Replace it with a cheap universal high flow one, and you'll be set.

well fixed the cat still runs like dog ****. I am going to try and replace the EGR valve gasket. I think i have a vacuume leak there. If I do the EGR block off with A coin, do I still use the gasket?

not here im Michigan there is no Emissions testing. Back in Anchorage there was testing done. or you get a red sticker and you can't drive with that sticker between the months of september - march.

This isn't DOHCGarrett, but I am helping him work on the car.

I am going to head over there in a few minutes here and put the gasket on with the quarter thing, but I'm not sure exactly how to do it. If any of you are around can you post me a link on what exactly I am doing with the quarter? I suppose I am sticking the quarter in the hole and putting the EGR back over it? So it's blocked off.

Also, any other ideas? The car won't reach over 10MPH roughly either...maybe 15 downhill...

We have to floor it from a long distance to even get it up the driveway, and even then sometimes it will need Fred Flintstones assistance.

I'll be around refreshing for a few, and would appreciate any help.

Thanks.
