i have a brain teazer
i need a 4 cylinder chrysler engine that has only 2 valves per cylinder. i dont know were to start looking for one or what combination of parts needed to make one scream. i dont care if its fuel injected or not it will be going in a 1996 neon that i will be circle track racing the max size is 155 CI. Anybody out there know any thing that can help me?

yeah either way the 2.2 if your really limited to mods i would say go with the 2.5 due to the extra tq over the 2.2 but if your allowed a fair amount of mods the 2.2 would probably be a better choice due to actually liking to rev just go with either a carbed version or swap a tbi version to carbed you'll be much happier with it then the tbi unit which the stock tbi intake is pretty crappy... but do some research i'm not sure how much is on this forum but i know there is tons of info for those 2.2 and 2.5 engines they have been around for a long time and chrysler made tons and tons of them...

Making any power with an na 2.2L or 2.5L is not easy. From my experience, the restrictions on a 2.2L / 2.5L are similar to a neon. The intake manifolds are not the best design, but there are options. This should help you.

Other than that link, there are very little after market n/a options for this platform. This can be attributed to the extremely poor flowing cylinder head.
