Default fuel cutoff

Anyone know the fuel cutoff of a 96 sohc 2.0l 5 sp neon.. the rpm's???


trying to figure it out since my neon doesn't have a tach. going to install one soon when i make it to pitt to get the car

It is about 6200-6500. depending on the car.

Its after the peak in the fuel curve, but that is the redline.

depending on the car? all 1g sohc's had the same rev limit and fuel cutoff:
Redline: 6500 rpm
Rev Limiter: 6750 rpm

remember that the redline is just where the "red line" starts on the tachometer.. while the rev limiter is where the fuel cutoff is at (which, limits the revs)

my car bounces off the limiter at 6500.

keep in mind that the factory tachs arent very accurate

my car doesn't have a factory tach at all.. so when i get the car this summer... i plan on adding one, so hopefully the one i add will be accurate

Neither does mine, I have read it bouncing at 6500 on both my tach and a scan tool.
