Ok, this may be a stupid question but what exactly is a megasquirt fuel system, is it only for turbo applications or not. does it work on mostly stock neons.

yes it will workfrom a fully stock neon to a fully modded neon.. its is a open fimware system that is used to control injectors or spark or i think rkautosports sells a fully built system that will completly remove the stock ecu and control every thing in a neon....

you could get a wide band and create a custom tune for your car.. you could run e-87 with it or use it to run propane.. you could basically do the same thing a mopar performance ecu does or the afx race ecu does advance timing and fuel curves for your mods and the more you learn about it the more youll do.. you can turbo with it and keep the same setup or up grade to a fuel return unit and have the ability to control and idle 750cc injectors and be in complete control in everything from idle to wot... and the rk unit even has provisions for ms controled meth injection for turbo and ms controled boost controler.. staging. you name it.. yes in my opinion it is worth it.. before i tuboed and did my 2.4 swap i ran it in my show car on a internaly stock engine to get to know it had all the bolt ons and such.. and yes i did see a gain.. about the same as a race ecu from afx but i ran it a touch leaner as mp and afx are a little on the rich side

running propane.. their are alot of cars that use propane as their fuel instead of gas.... and its pretty simple.. if you buy a kit set up for a neon they usally send you a wiring skematic for the car... since i had installed a safc cause i was na it pretty much used the same wires as that too.
