Default radiator problems.

I have a 99 dodge neon r/t dohc. My radiator decided it was time to split. So now I have to replace it and I know my way around a car pretty good and the guy at advanced asked where my condenser was located? Does this really matter or is this guy trying to get me to buy a more expensive radiator??

tell him it is in the same spot on all Neons but the A/C condencer coil is attached to the radiator via bolts. once you replace the radiator you will have to get some more R 134a to replace what you have lost.

Yeah the condenser attaches to the front of the radiator via bolts that go through a bracket into the top of the radiator. Both the 149 and the 89 dollar radiators had those holes in the exact same location. I do not think that I lost anything from the a/c condenser, the radiator just cracked on the bottom and needed replaced.

you can remove the condensor from the rad without loosing any refrigerant,

wire it up so it doesnt hang by the hoses once the rads removed
