Default experimenting with engines

ok so first off i need to know if a dohc head will bolt and work on a sohc block but the tricky part is the sohc block is from a 2001 r/t and the dohc head is from a 98 r/t the only thing im doubting is the piston clearence. and also if i can use my old head bolts or i should get new ones. i know all the blocks are identical but still want to get others opinions.....thanx

yeah, everything should line up bolt-wise. not sure about how it would run though. as far as new or old bolts, you can never go wrong with new ones

you can use the head bolts once after you remove them after that they should be discarded.

I wonder how to use a SOHC neon head on an old 2.2 block?

I got a 2.2 motor and picked up a free neon head, It bolts right on but now I need to do some figuring on oil passages because the return on the neon is on the back of the head and one the front of the block on the 2.2

The 16v head on 2.2L black has been done. Check TD.com or turbo-mopar.com
