i have a base 96 neon where the tweeter spots were just filled in with foam. what size tweeters does it take? and will i need shallow mounts? also the wiring harness for them seems to be there but would it just be plug and play?

 

I think they are about 2.5". I have made 3.5" work before. I usually just stuck with the factory tweeters in most cases because they are an odd size.

 

looking at it again is it actually a tweeter that goes on the dash facing up to the windshield or is it a small speaker?

 

You could almost say its a small speaker. But I think there is a EQ on the speaker to get rid of the lows and mids. I usually stuck with the stock ones if they worked good.

 

the tweeters from a 300 m will fit and their infinitys so they are better than stock and are a dierect fit

any 300M will work. they are located in the same spot as the neon
