tranny swap
Ok so ive decided to do a tranny swap from atx to mtx, is there anywhere that i can find a step by step or a good guideline? what kind of things do i need to know? eveeryones telling me it will bolt right up and it can be done in a 2 days or less, i just need a second oppinion.

Thanks! i dont know about it though, i thought i found a person to do it, and someone told me not to trust him with it, so i dunno, i dont have the experience to do it myself, mabye with the help of some reliable friends! but any who i still dunno (especially after lookin at the price they had(

Probally more like $500 for someone to do the swap. Its really not all that hard if you have basic mechanical knowledge and a set of tools. Pick up a Haynes manual and follow the directions for ATX removal MTX installation. And I believe there is a section on the pedals too, they are not hard just a PITA.

get the shifter cables and the pedle bracket and the bobble strut mount "thats a must have" and the passenger side cv joint. i just did a swap, you can do it in a weekend and get the whole clutch cable with the little bushing that goes in the fire wall . if you use the stock comp the speedmeter wired will be the same their color match so thats not a prob but get the plug that matches the tranny the nuetral safty switch is a wire twist and tape thing. if you need to know the wire set up tell me and ill tell you

also if you do it dont switch the tb the atx is bigger by like 2mm i think. it flows better.
