Default 97 wireing issue

My wife and i were on our way home from work when the car died on us. i left the car there over night. when i went back the next day the only issue that i could find was that the fuel pump fuse was blown and every time i put a new one in it would blow. i put a new fuel pump in and it still blows. then come to find out there was a short in the wireing some were. we can't find the short. all the wires are connected and there are no bare wires that are touching anything that they shouldn't.

first off has anyone eles had this issue and if so how did you solve it?

second i was thinking of getting a new wireing harness, does anyone know were i can get one that is in tac. the only ones that i could get were all busted up?

Blown fuses usually relate to bad grounds. Have you checked under your battery tray for corrosion? There may be some acid there that is eating away at the wires.

i had the smae problem for a while on one car the pcm was bad....and on the other car i had to start unplugging all the sensors one by one, then replace the fusesafter each sensor...time consuming and went through about 70 fuses...then found out it was my downstream o2 sensor.....is your car a 95? if not the wire harness would be different and dohc or sohc?
