Hello everyone I am a newbie here. I bought my 95 dodge neon car in september 2005. When I am driving on the freeway my car feels as if it's going to die?? What could that be? I have gotten everything that needed to be fixed, fixed!! What else could be wrong?? Thank you to all!!

What was wrong with it? Try checking your battery connections, you may have a loose cable or corrosion on the terminals.

You know how you can drive every so miles before the computer needs to be reset. I was told that from the auto shop. I guess nothing was wron from what I understand. Okay I will have someone check the equipment. Thank you for your time!!!

No...the CEL won't go off on it's own. It should stay on until the problem is fixed and the PCM is reset.

Yes, they reset the computer and the check engine light went off. I am not sure what else they did to the car. They did do an oil change and that's about it!! If they fixed something else I wasn't notified about it. I am new to driving and I don't know anything about cars. Thanks for bearing with me.

pull the fuel pump fuse for a while (same circut powers the pcm). the codes stay in the pcm 'till it's reset, but if you no longer have the problem, the CEL won't come on.

Does it only act this way on hot days after about 20 minutes of driving.

If so it is your fuel pump.

if it does it all the time check all your connections from the pcm to the coil pack and from the pack to all your wires and your plugs.

give us real specifics about how it is behaving.
