ATX to MTX I'm New :(
just make sure not to brake the pins off the sensor that hold the gear on.....otherwise the gear may fall off in the trans(i did this before) and you may not be able to retrieve it without ripping the trans apart......i just left mine floating around in there and used another gear
lol i hate when that happens.. is there any know substitute for the so called manual trans fluid chrystler calls for, looks like nothing but semi synthetic 5-w30 to me, i really dont wanna go to a dodge dealer just to buy some overpriced crap in a bottle
anyway i have the r/t 5 speed in a SOHC car, it make a huge difference, went from not being able to spin in gravel to roastin the tires all the way through first and half of 2nd on the street
- and it catches tire in 3rd, seems to do best shiftin at 6500, i dont let off the throttle when i shift i just slip the clutch a little & hammer it in the next gear[sm=gears.gif]

ive always used either penzoil 80/90 gear lube or super tech(walmart) 80/90 gear lube.....in one trans i even used super tech 80/150(i think it was...i know it was a high number)....surprisingly this one worked the best......but any 80/90 works real good and only cost a couple bucks.....if you go to autozone, there is a penzoil gear lube that says its a replacement for OEM chrysler manual trans lube...i think it was the 80/90 but im not exactly sure
probly 85/140, thats some thick **** - im still driving mine with synthetic 5 w30 mobile 1 in it, lol, im not on the highway much so it'll live for now, i ran a mixture of motor oil & ATF+4 in my race car & it never burnt up, thin stuff frees up some power if the trans will hold together
