Default plugs+oil?

Alright so i was looking under the hood of my neon and i decided to take them plug things that go over the spark plugs off and upon inspection it looked to be like there was oil in the little wholes with the spark plugs. I havnt the slightest clue about engines and such and i was wondering what could be the cause?

Yep, spark plug tube seals need to be replaced. You can get a valve cover kit for about $20.

If you are slightly mechanically inclined, you can do it yourself and save a ton on labor! But if not, it shouldn't cost more than an hour of labor! I know alot of places will charge 1 hour minimum of labor

Do it yourself and save the money and feel good about yourself. HERE is a link for a how-to on a SOHC, but the DOHC should be the same.

a valve cover gasket set is what u need and to change that is nothing 10 bolts to take off with 10 mm socket torch back to 75 lbs. the only thing u will need that will make it easyer is a socket thats a little smaller than the spark plug tube gasket the donut lookin one and knock them out....cuz prying them out can damage the slots were they go and wont seal back right
