My Neon has no fire
I have a 96 Neon 2.0 SOHC,I just redone the head and put a new timing belt on it,plus new cam and cranck sencers. It started the first time and ran for about 2 minutes and then stoped running. And when I try to start it the plugs fire 1 time and then wont fire aftere that.Could the coil gone bad even when it was working just fine before all the repairs?
Yep, thats possible. Check it. If you have a Haynes manual, it tells you how in there. I would just buy a new coilpack, dont fart around with the ones from a junkyard. You are liable not to get a good working one in my experience.
yep id check the crank sensor and if ur gonna spend 80 bucks for a new coil id go to autozone and have them order u a msd blaster coil its 10,000 volts over stock...but make sure u know what pins u have round of flat most sohc ive seen are round but check to be sure

OK....I used a test light to see if power is getting to the coil and its getting power to it but it wont fire the plugs. Now I am thinking that the coil isnt grounded so I grounded it and still no fire.but heres the list of what I have done...put new crank and cam sincers and a new coil and new plug wires plus a new PCM. theres a code 12 witch is just that the battery has been desconnected since the last 50 key cycles.
