How did my 80A main fuse blow during crank?

Well your starter takes alot of amps to crank that engine over! Most batteries will push over like 500CCA.. the higher the better in the winter! I would say it would be quite easy to blow a fuse! But I am not a professional... Thats my opinion

whats the stock fuse rating? keep in mind this is 80A going to the front, all im allowing for the engine bay. Should I step it up? Im putting a system in there, but its gonna have its own 4awg line

teh starter doesnt draw through that 80amp main fuse, thats just to the rest of the car, the pos cable goes right to the starter, it draws straight from the battery, if you have it blowing that fuse during crank, the ign. switch could be flippy and grounding something inside it that shouldt be or your selonoid wire might be grounded

so unless you moved your battery to the trunk and wired the starter and cylenoid wire directly to your newly ran power wire the starter shouldnt have to draw from that fuse unleess you fused the starter wire also
