Oh and its almost impossible to get an absolutely flat response curve, resonsance in your car + cross over points + placement of speakers + how your front stage is set up all effect how the response curve will look. You just want it to be as smooth as possible to get the smoothest blend of frequencies. You also need to note where you cross your speakers over. Sub goes to 50, so obviously those freq's are gonna be played louder. Rear 6x9's run from 50-full range. And the front 2 sets of components crossed over at 100. The part where im gonna be lacking I think is the 50-100, because thats not being played up front. Maybe ill be able to compensate a little by running the sub to 60-65, and set the fronts at 80. They just dont like lots of bass going to the front

still no monitor, sound card came though. HDA 7.1 DTS X-Plosion.

Over the last 3 days Ive put in a total of 10 hours customizing the front stage, and its not even done yet. I have both tweeters mounted by the pillar on the windshield. I have 2 6.5" MB Quarts in the door, in the stock location. AND Ive also got both 5.25's mounted in the front doors aswell. Keep in mind this is a 4door im workin with. I still have yet to do the other tweeters for the front. The ones that came with the 5.25 set. They will go in the dash spot where the factory speakers were. Just a simple fiberglass plate should be all I need. Ill grab some pics tonight when I go out again, im tired of lookin at that car lawl

Man it doesn't matter if "these ppl" get it or not, they like what they like and that's that. I think what pisses a few other ppl off on this board, including me, is that you act like you invented the carputer and you know everything about everything. You came here stating that Neon's can't be fast and that they basically suck. WTF do you think is gonna happen if you come here with that attitude. Your right though this forum isn't worth your time, and your not worth our time either.

lawl. How did I act like I invented it? Its been around longer than Ive had a car to put one in.

I have a 95 neon. Its a 4 door auto, yes it does suck and it wont be fast. I never that about anyone elses car. Its just personally Id rather tune something, not FWD. Ive never been a FWD fan, but I never dissed anyone for what they do. Ive gone through my "tuning" stages, but its not worth the money I spend on it. I wouldnt spend 5k making my neon fast, Id spend that 5k on a jdm mr2 or something

edit: and keep the neon as a daily driver. Thats why I bought it, and thats the attitude I have. Its daily driven so Im putting a big system in it, and hopefully compete with it in the summer, assuming it hasnt blown up or anything

edit2: The people on these forums dont seem to know anything about carputers, and when I posted here people were like "wtf is a carputer" so I thought I was doing this for educational sakes. But fine I guess ill stop posting, and ill just post pics when its actually done, so you can see what a carputer is. I guess I dont have to tell you where to read more about them as Ive posted many times and it seems to get ignored, so whatever. I thought this was a car enthusiast forum, so im enthusing my carputer system, who cares if I dont spend 1000$ on bolts ons to make my automatic neon faster. Im still "enthusing" with the car

Everyone seems to hate on it, or say its a waste of money. Go look at standalone processing equipment, like those alpine units I linked. You dont need to buy other equipment when you use a computer to do it. And I like the fact that its absoultely cdless, you can skip to any point in any song, search for songs and have a 31band 1/3 octave eq. Maybe all this is just over everyones head, but if you got cash to drop on a system, I ALWAYS tell people dont bother with a deck. I build and sell these on the side, and ive done about 7 so far. Another one coming mid november, with a 2000$ budget. The guy already has speakers etc, so this guys computer is gonna be better than mine >_<
