Every day I come home from work and check this forum. And I find myself drawn to this thread everytime. I still can't get over why you keep rambling on over this carputer. Nobody is really interested in it from what I can read, I only read it to see what spud is going to say next. And what is up with all the Full House episodes, tell me your mom borrows the car and you only have them in there for her.

 

i could go for the aqua teens, but i would rather watch them at home so i can relax......the full house could burn with the car though[sm=badbadbad.gif]

so, when are you gonna install the refridgerator, toilet, and kitchen sink?????

Haha, no the gf likes full house. Thats just a mirror of what is on my home pc anyways, I just threw everything on there. Not ALL of those tv shows are on the acrputer thouhg. Music took priority over the 400gb (which is actually 384gb of USABLE space). So whatever is left after adding the music together is what I had room for tv shows. Family Guy, american dad, aqua teen etc. The good shows are what is on there.

Pictures? Well Theres not a whole lot installed. How about, when I get home tonight ill take pics of the speaker setup Ive done. With the 8 speakers up front for the front stage. The 6x9s are in, but they are sony, so no special pics with that. I have no screen yet, still stock tape player and the front dash piece is missing too. But I guess I can show you pics, I was just gonna wait until it was done. I have the MB Quart Components AND Hollywood digital components in the front door. Its still kind of a mess, and teh car itself is a mess. But I get home in,... like 3 hours from now (working close shift at work) so ill take door pics when I get home. But keep in mind I need to work on the 2nd speaker grill a little, because you can see the screws. But it doesnt even look that bad.

And since you mentioned the obd2 thing, I need like a 20$ cable and software and I can hook up the obd plug to my COM port on the computer, and I can do that. If I had a tunable ECU, then I go do all that on the fly aswell.

And I have posted some pics, some WIP pics of tweeter pods, pics of the equipment im putting in, pics of my messy apartment WITH all my stuff. Its not all installed so *shrug* but whatever ill psot when I get home.



and OMG I laughed hard when I read the fridge post, because actually I DO have a minifridge (will hold 9 cans of pop) that I put in there on long trips, well I did in my other cars, it has AC and DC plug ins for it. So haha, maybe in the summer time ill put it in. Though it does have a hot/cold switch ive never used the hot.

 

Easy stolen? well ****, be my guest. Its insured for replacement value, plus since I do install these on the side, on the receipt I "charged" myself typical installation, so if it does get stolen, ill get an upgrade (because its replacement cost + depreciation) and im getting the value for installing it again, so no loss on my part.

Though its gonna be hard to steal a sub box that has to be put in from the front seats, and the computer sitting underneith a board, which has the sub on top. They bould probably bust stuff up, and ill just get replacement value anyways, but ill still have the box etc, I hope they dont **** up the door panel. The fabrication alone to get the front speakers in there was a good 4 hours work, which I would prefer to not have to go through again

haha yeah, I figure this dodge is going to be a money pit anyways, maybe thats best for all of us. Replacement value on stereo + book value of car = profit for me
