Neonrick dot com has a DIY CAI...if you could, use some other pipe other than PVC, on combustion in a vehicle fire PVC will release phosgene. But if you don't care, go for it.

You can make the CAI with mandrel pipes I think they're called...some sort of U shaped tube with one of the arms clipped enough will serve as a good CAI.
