New to neons, stumped on cyl1 misfire, HAVE searched
PCM sets a misfire code by watching the crank sensor velocity and notes the slow down when Cylinder #1 for instance should be firing.
Fuel pressure while driving would be a good indication.
As far as fuel trim, it is normally in % -taking fuel away +adding fuel. Easy. Should be 0 ±5. If you are ±10 or more than you have an issue. If you are adding lots of fuel and lean than either fuel pressure is low or you have a localized air leak.
19-20 lbs. of vacuum sounds good.
I would really suggest a leak-down compression test.
If you have access to a scope or at least duty cycle on a DMM then check the #1 fuel injector signal vs another. (multiple noid lights a potential possibility too)
For odds and ends.......
Check you MAP sensor for contamination &
Double check you belts and pulleys just to be safe.

Thanks for info...especially about the fuel trim..tells me my eclipse is running way off lol...but anyway havent had much time to spend with the neon, but I plan to do all these things when I get a chance...possibly tomorrow....not sure what duty cycle on a DMM means though?? Ive got a multimeter if thats what you mean...and it is digital... but I do believe i can manage the noid lights..
-why cant I get this much help on dsmtuners.com?! anyway thanks again!
