do it from underneath the car......its alot easier to actually get it out.....
if not then go through the top, but take out the coolant overflow tank to give you more room....
take off the black metal shield/plate ontop of the alt. too
yea where our alternators are located looks like a pain in the butt to get to..id hate to go to a mechanic shop to get that replaced...might charge you like $200
Well mine completly locked up on me, about 30 miles from home, (a 65 dollar tow home) so im gunna be changin that out! Next... does anyone know the belt size i would need, as mine is lieing on the ground somewhere, Its not stock size because of my UDP, i lost the paper for it, It is The OBX UDP from ebay. any input would help! THANKS

Habitat, you should have just drove the car home! You just wouldnt have had the alternator.. Prolly would have made it! But anyways, take a string to measure out how big the belt should be!
