Default tachometer problems please help

ok soo i boguht a jdm sport tachometer.....every thing works but the tach part....after figureing out the stock tach must be disconnected i did that and the after market tach stil doesnt work....does anybody know how to help

Did you cut the stock tach wire?

i have the power running off the igniton switch the light is spliced into the light switch and the tach is hooked ^ to the stock tach wire coming off ther pcm everytihng works but the tach part of it

Try running the tach signal wire from behind the cluster. What year is your car?

its a 96 expresso model....where in the back of the cluster would i hook it ^ at????????

Tachometer signal wire...its gray with a light blue tracer.

well rite now i have it hooked up to the gray wire with the blue tacer rite off the pcm will it make a differecne if its hooked ^ behind the dash

I have heard some people with your similiar problems and then hooked it up behind the dash and it works.
