From what I can remember, all I know is that it's inside the tank...Hopefully this helps out too

i have both the internal walbro 255 module and an external walbro 255 thats mounted under the spare tire dugout....
if you jack up the rear passenger side of the car and look underneath right infront of the back tire then you will see the top of the pump.....release the fuel pressure and be redy with alot of rags because there will be some spilt fuel....disconnect the plastic fuel line from the regulator to the fuel line....unplug the wire connector and hang it out of the way....there is a big plastic rig that hold the pump into the tank....use a screwdriver and a hammer to unscrew the plastic ring.....once the ring is off, you can maneuver the pump out of the tank without removing the tank from the car.....
if you want to replace the module, thats inside the pump.....
disconnect the wire connector from the outter part of the pump....there is a blue plastic retainer in the back of the wire clip...use a pair of needle nose pliers to pull the retainer out.....then, use a small screwdriver to push up the little retainer clips that hold each wire into the clip....make sure to number the wires so they go back in the same spot......there are then 3 little clip things that hold the outter canister to the rest of the assembly, use a couple tiny screwdrivers to pry out the little clips, but make sure not to break them.....when you pull it all apart, pull all the wires through their little holes....you can then pull the module out of the canister....make sure that when putting in the new one in, you get the pump outlets in the right holes.....i know it sounds confusing, but the new module should come with better directions....

you can replace the pump without dropping the tank....it just takes some maneuvering to get the pump out of the hole in the tank.......pull the pump out as far as it can go, which is about to the top of the canister.....then rotate it about 180 degrees.....then you can pull it the rest of the way out
when re installing the pump into the tank,
if you look at the top of the pump(the part you can see when its in the tank), there is a little lip on the outter edge of the pump.....then if you look at the tank, there is a little notch around the holes where the pump goes in......the lip on the pump sits inside the notch....make sure you get these 2 spots together otherwise the pump will not line up correctly.....when you see it you will know what im talking about
if you have any problems just ask.....ive become a pro with these fuel pump lately
