Tighten your alternator belt, it is loose.

i dont know how the heater would affect your alt belt but tightning it up is easy is a 15mm wrench on the side to loosenand a 13 on the rear to tighten then tighten the 15

there is actually a 15mm swivel bolt on theside at the bottomthat you can get to through the wheel well....
then you have the 15mm bolt lock bolt on the side at the top.....
then there is the 13mm bolt on the back that actually moves the alternator to tighten/loosen

the rear defroster takes a good deal of power to have on....when you turn on the defroster, the alt. belt will sumtimes squeel from haveing to work a little more....
mine does it when i turn the heat on....then when i turn it off, or get the rpm's up a little, it goes away

Yeah, when you turn on that defroster it builds up resistance in that alternator and loads the motor down making it harder to turn the alt. so it slips.

Tighten the belt, see what happens, if not, time for a new belt then.
