I have a '98 Neon R/T(dohc). Im about to buy a new header for it, i'm just kinda wondering which one is the best. I'd like to gain some mid-range power.
personally, i like the tti, i had the shorty for my sohc, but you may want the long tube one. very good product. fair price, and make sure if you go this route to get it ceramic coated on the outside. it looks perdy.
Pacesetter is proven to have the most gains in the neon, but damn, I can remember where I read that lol. But it wasnt on the pacesetter site, if it makes you feel better.
Chikara bolts right up, but I don't know about the performance gains from it. The Pacesetter seems to do well with the DOHC but will take some extra modding.
If u want to get a long tube header, I'd say get the MPX long tube header. It's a great stainless steel product with excellent quality. Long tubes provide great high end power not mid range.
Whatever u do, don't get a Pacesetter header. If u get an aluminized header, make sure it's coated. I've had to replace my Pacesetter header before my warranty went out. It ended up rusting out and developing a hole in it. With their warranty policy, you wont want to get another one. The Pacesetter cat-back sucks in quality too.
