Maybe, look under the back pass door...

Mine has a filter in that location. I found it by seeing it on another Neon

Are smelling any exhaust, or rotten egg kinda smells.? I would check the exhaust and make sure its flowing out of the muffler good.Im assuming it has the problem all the time.? Or does it come and go.? Do you have any check engine lights on.? Does the car idle fine? or does it seem like it may be missing.?

i would guess it is either an O2 sensor or tps. i had that problem on a 94 duster and an O2 sensor fixed it.

I found the fuel filter location, it's about 10 inches from the pass tire, haven't changed it yet, but plan to. My prob is def not the exaust so i won't answer those questions as they do not apply...

I do however have a new problem a little off topic... when i open my door, it clicks from the fuse panel. a constant loud ticking, louder than the signal light but same rhythm... fuse going possibly? it goes away when i slam my drivers door shut. I know it's telling me there's something wrong but i'm not sure what... it started last night.

Does the door ajar light up in the dash when the door is open? If not, a fuse or bulb should be replaced.
