Acceleration Issues...
Ok, here's my problem.... i try to accelerate sometimes and have to put it to the floor to get going a good speed, Especially when going from a stop up hill. i don't think it's the fuel pump itself. I am going to change the fuel filter and see if that helps.. just wanted to know if anyone else has any other suggestions for my problem[&o]
oooh, ugh... that's cuss words to me.lol. but thanks
i will have to have it looked at i guess. I am the third owner and i bought it at 180 000 kms.... so i don't mind the money put into it. i love my car

it's my fault, i drive her hard and she still hangs with me
she's a good girl, i don't mind fixin her.. it's the first car i have bought. this is only the second problem i have had, last time it was stalling, it was just an oil switch when we thought it may be the pump, so lets hope this is a cheap fix

my car kind of does the same thing....if im at a low rpm in 3rd or 4th gear....it takes forever to gain momentum....especially when going uphill.....it can possibly be a clogged cat(?)...thats what i think my problem is.....but ill see when i change the exhaust out.
when i went to get a fuel filter for my neon they said it didnt have a fuel filter and or it was built onto the pump itself . . . i have the plastic style tank who know good luck and like fast said could be the cat also

I have the 4 door highline with the metal tank. thankfully parts are cheaper for it when it comes to fuel. I really don't think my issue is an exaust problem or air intake... i found that today it didn't "feel right" like more of a chug, like it's working really hard, more vibration and louder. it wasn't as cold as usual either.
If the fuel filter is internal, does that mean that my whole system will have to be taken apart to get at it?

A combination fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator is used. It is located on the top of the fuel pump module. A separate frame mounted fuel filter is not used. The electric fuel pump is located in and is part of the fuel pump module, which is in the gas tank.
