More than likely, unless you can get and SRT-4 engine for like $500 and you won't have to deal with all the wiring headaches of the SRT-4 engine.

The SRT-4 wiring would be more of a headache than the 2.4. You need the engine wiring harness for the SRT-4 as well as a BRAND NEW PCM that has not seen Sentry on the SRT-4.

The 2.4 uses the stock wiring harness and PCM

yeah that sounds better. Since I want to swap my ATX to a MTX anyway should I just wait till the engine swap because of having to take out the old tranny anyway or should I just do the MTX swap now? Because thats the next thing I really want to do, but if it would be easier to just swap both the engine and tranny at the same time then I will do that.

Its up to you, if you want to wait. I'd swap it now just to enjoy the MTX. Who knows you may like your 2.0's new found quickness

yeah I was thinking about just doing it now because I can do that myself, but I dunno I really like the sound of a 2.4L engine with SRT-4 Internals. Puttin a turbo on there, hmm...so much to think about..

getting the motor redy for the bigger piston is gonna cost a few bucks....
i brought my motor to the shop a few days ago.....the quote was at about $700 and thats for bore and hone, all the prep, installing new pistons/rods, new freeze plugs, resurfacing the head, 3 angle valve job......then its gonna be about another $200 to get the crank balanced

make sure not to get too boost happy when you have the turbo on the car, unless you do some bottom end work.....my car lasted exactly 10,000 miles before it spun a bearing...but then again i put the turbo on the car with 150,000 miles

and thats on the 2.0L engine? Because I am thinking about just maybe swapping to the 2.4L engine.

either way.....the 2.0 and 2.4 have basically the same block....but it all depends on where you get the work done at.....i dont believe in swapping motors anymore....i would just rather use what its got...
i look at it like this, the money you spend on another motor could always be the money that would be needed to get the motor you have redy.....i hate spending money on anything that i dont NEED when i could spend it on sumthing that i could really use.....but thats just me.....i dont want you to think im trying to talk you out of the swap or anything

just make sure that you have the crank balanced if you plan on having alot of power
