Default stuff for autocross

ok guys i have a autocross race the 15 of spril and i wanted yalls input on what i should get as some what basic if not alittle more then that for this race.....i have an idea but i would like your input

Depends on what class you are running and their classifications.

well say it was the beginner class and there was the normal classification for a autocross race

No, what I am saying is you need to check with your local SCCA and see what their rules are for Autocrossing. Some don't allow any mods at all or you are limited to what you can do.

I don't know alot about it, since I don't do it.

Suspension would be key, so sway bars are a must, good struts (Konis, then KYB's), a small drop and run your camber at about -1.5° in the front.

After that, the basic mods...CAI, UDP, ATX TB and so on.

if you plan on racing in the stock class then you need a stock car, down to wheels... you should get on the webpage and read the rules on the classes, i wanted to run my neon in the stock class but i have aftermarket struts and lowering springs, BBS wheels and exhaust, and some other things, and now i havta run in the modified class...

I started out in g stock, went to sts, then to street prepared.
main thing to worry about is TIRES. I don't care what you drive, tires are key. then worry about other things. I love autocross. nothing like spanking some douche in his porsche !
