Nice so question.. do you have to swap to a SRT4 engine to put the new dash in or can you just swap the dash? I just think it looks really cool. Oh and where did you get the whole dash? Like a donor car or somethin?

Spud: No, no seats.. the guy claimed he had them, but I only got the bottom half of the back seat... crappy I know... How much ya offerin' for that steering wheel? Haha, JK.. I just saw one on Ebay with the airbag though if you wanna check it out ;-)

BadBrads: You can put the dash in with the regular engine, but I wouldnt suggest it, mainly because you would have to use the 1st gen gauges with it.. The SRT-4 and the 1st gen clusters only work with their PCMS, so technically, no.. and really the work isnt worth just swapping the dash, unless your really going for that unique looks..

 

yeah see this summer I wanna swap to either a 2.4 or SRT4 but Im not sure yet. And lookin at your pictures makes me lean towards the SRT4 more lol Did you just get a donor car like from the junk yard or somethin to swap everything over?

 

You need a 2nd gen wires for the clocksping as well. The 1st gen connectors don't work very well with the SRT-4 steering wheel.

 

Badbrad: Kinda, Kinda not.. In my previous posts I mentioned that I bought a car off Ebay that said the swap was practically done.. well it wasnt.. but it had all the parts I need... so I swapped them to my wrecked SRT-4, so that way I know it gets done right ;-)

Oh, and your looking at alot of work for the swap, just a heads up.. better start researching

 

yeah I know.. I dont plan on doing it soon I just know I wanna swap to either an SRT4 or 2.4. I know it would be a hell of alot of work too.
