Oh yes, i'm back, and no i didn't forget about you. Its update time. My new ECM finally came yesterday. I put it in, the truck wouldn't even start. Wasn't getting any spark. ANOTHER defective ECM, only this one came straight from MOPAR and was by far the worst looking one yet. I put my old computer back in, as it was almost 50 degrees yesterday and if you've been following this thread you know the problems i've been having, and then the truck started right up and ran like a champ. 3 computers in a row that i've bought and have been defective. Isn't that great? i love the quality control on these parts. Chrysler corporation is amazing let me tell you. I spent almost four weeks not doing anything to the truck waiting on a piece of junk computer. NICE! Well, thats update. As for the last straw, i'm going straight to the dealership and telling them to send me 5, yes 5 ECM's. I'm going to limp my truck to their parking lot and when they all come in i'm going to attach each one in the parking lot until one works. If none of them work the truck is gone. That simple. I've never dealt with such a pain in the *** vehicle to troubleshoot as well as the company having such poor quality standards on their parts. Well, probably in another eight weeks when everything comes in i'll post another update unless something gets back to me sooner. Thanks for reading!

So you guys probably thought i gave up, right? Well no. I can't remember my last update, so here we go. After going through all the ECU bullcrap, meaning the fifth one i got finally worked ( two remans from autozone didn't work, two straight from mopar didn't work, as all these were defective and made the truck act even more messed up and finally the one out of the junk yard made the truck run perfect)! The funny part is the guys at the parts place told me i was full of craop because computers don't go bad and all of them are QC'd before they leave the warehouse. I beg to differ. Well any, for three days after that the truck ran great. Put some miles on her then BAM wouldn't start. Thought it was a dead battery. NOPE! battery was fully charged and fine. Earlier, about four months ago i replaced a section of battery cable as it was corroded badly. Well, it turns out i should've replaced the whole thing, as i didn't cut it back far enough i guess. So, that and a few more hacks into wiring harness and things there were good to go. ALthough, before that i assumed the starter was bad. ALthough the truck would start up fine i pulled it out anyway. Turns out the starter came out in two pieces. The nose cone broke right off. Damn cast aluminum. I can't believe that didn't make any noise rattling around in there, but it didn't cause any damage, everythign looked picture perfect, so it must've been wedged just right. SO, i put the new starter in, truck won't start. Tap it a few times truck starts right up. Defective starter. I put another one in, the truck runs fine. I've had more defective parts than i can label, i can't believe the poor quality from these manufacturers. So anyway, for right now, the truck is running great, and for those who've been following my thread, you know i've trudged through hell and highwater to get this truck working right, for whatever reason i don't know. Thanks for following. If you have any questions feel free to ask, because at thsi point i'm becoming a dodge pro!

Yes, i got all the refunds on the pcms. They didn't dare not give them to me. The only one i haven't gotten yet is from some dodge outfit out in oregon, but i had just shipped it back a few days ago so probably this week they'll refund my money, they said they would. Believe me, there'd be hell to pay if i lost 1500 bucks on defective pcms. So just remember, junkyards are worth their weight in gold. Remans suck, no matter what the part is, however they are still a necessary part of life for most of us who have older vehicles. Well stay tuned, so far its still been running perfect.

Just so you know. A1 Cardone does 99% of the Remaned job on Computers. I worked at Autozone for almost 2 years and for the first few months I rarely sold one that didn't come back the first time. Usually the second one was good cause I would call them. After a few months of this crap, I started calling Cardone before I placed the order to make sure they Tested the ecm before sending. After that, I never had another bad one.

So be very specific with the auto store and make them talk to the supplier directly.

Good to hear you got her going...
