The mine'll outpull yours 1996ram318/lugnuts thread
I can believe I have 365 lb/ft of torque. I don`t know if it`s that high up in the band though. I know I have seen a set of stock 360 heads (1987) support over 400 hp. It was in a truck my brother used to have. It was an 87 W150. 3" lift with 33X10s. The whole truck was Rhino lined. But it had a proffesionally built motor. 360 block bored .030 over with a mild cam (don`t know the specs), Edelbrock intake and 750cfm carb. It was dynoed at 420 hp. I can`t remember the torque. But I personally think that stock valves can support that kind of power. 365 lb/ft isn`t really that high for a V8. I don`t know that it makes it at 5300, that might be a stretch. But it out powers that thing you drive.
And on a similar note, someone could have warned me how heavy these transmissions are. My ego got a little bruised when I tried to pick it up yesterday.

Well let's say it does make 365 @ 3000-4000 and tapers off from there. 208 hp @ 3000.
243 @3500, 278@4000. Drop the torque off a little due to the heads becoming a restriction to 345 @ 4500 and you get 295.6 hp. These torque figures are just numbers outta thin air mind you. You'd need over 400 lb/ft to get 370 hp.

That`s ok, I was wearing steel toes. I would love to put my truck on a dyno, but I don`t have access. I think it makes probably 350 lb/ft, maybe a little over, maybe a little less. What it lacks in hp, it makes up for in sheer grunt. Even with the 3.23s, it feels pretty torqy (I know that`s not a real word). Don`t worry, one day I will stroke it to 408 with some aftermarket heads and maybe a small blower. But it feels like 300 hp. I think that may be a workable estimate. Now I have to find a dyno.............
Got a napkin? You have a little bullsh!t on your lip. My truck can kick Uranus no problem cling-on.
Got quite a bit done on my pop-out rear window/removable cab back yesterday. Been thinkin'. Maybe I better have all those peices made outta Kevlar/Carbon Fiber. Keep the shrapnel from your junkheap from pepperin' the dash.

You better worry about reinforcing the chassis in your truck. That thing ain`t never gonna hold up to the massive strain that it will endure at the hands of my truck. Or, as I call it, El Chupicabara. It will drink the blood of your truck. And when you screw the cab up on your truck, you can drive down here and pick up the cab from my old Ramcharger. You don`t have a prayer against my 500hp 318.
