Default Smoked wiring, not as bad as I thought.

If anyone remembers when this happened; https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...he-wiring.html
Well, I was tinkering with it today, it started up with no problem. Everything seemed good, for a couple minutes, then the smoke started again.
Traced the wires and found a wire from the oil pressure switch, to a connection on the intake, behind the carb, near a bunch of vacuum lines. It goes to the electric choke. That wire is fried all the way from end to end. It appears to be the only one. I wrapped it up and taped it out of the way.
Had it running for a couple minutes after that, all seems well.
Might just finish out the year in it yet.

I went ahead and cut the bad wire out of the harness. Everything seems OK, I drove it the last 2 days to work.
I think the wire came off the electric choke, and was grounded on the intake manifold.
