Miles per gallon- What are you getting?
I have what i think is a bone stock engine wise and the usual (spark plugs, battery, wires, etc.)
1992 Dodge Ram 150 LE with the 5.2L 318 motor. I am currently getting 22-25 on the highway and not much less than that in town.

1992 Dodge D350 Singlewheel D60 Rear with 3.55 gears 5spd gets 22 around town if not gettin on it. don't know what highway is haven't drove it a long distance. yeah its a cummins i turned the pump up a turn.
I've got an '89 ¾ ton 4x4 with a stock 360. It's used for camping with a 10½' camper on it. Last trip to the Uinta Mountains I got 6mpg. Man, would I love a new cummins diesel.
I'd say consistent maintenance and a feather light throttle foot are the key.
The '86 D-250 318 2bbl got 14-15mpg while towing a 6x12 landscaping trailer around the county.
That's with Accel HP (HighPerformance) Cap and Rotor, double platinum plugs, Taylor 8mm HP wires, a Flamethrower coil, and a 14-inch HP air filter.
Oh, oil change every 3k, trans fluid and filter every 10k, fuel filter twice in 50k, pcv valve and breather cap twice also.
Greased wheel bearings once, lubed all the zerks at least once (maybe twice), flush and fill radiator once.
Keep all 4 tyres filled to the Max. psi printed (on my truck, 50psi).
Mythbusters or not: Replaced tailgate with a rubber mesh one.
Always run Premium 93 octane namebrand (BP or Texaco).
And I take it real light on the throttle, drive like granpa.
Dunno on the '95 with the 360 yet, too early to tell (just got it), thou I expect much of the same (14-15mpg with trailer) since it's running 10w-30 Synthetic racing blend and has multiport EFI (+ same mods as the '86).
Only thing I miss is dual exhaust and racing headers, but then I'd need dual cats (so, expensive).

I get about 8 on the interstate. However i do know that if you take a stock 318 and rebuild it to stock specs except drop in an r.v. cam 4brrl card about 650 cfm with vacuum secondarys and put a dual plane intake you can almost double your mileage. I've done it. Dodge always has put to small ofn a carb on their motors.
