As you accelerate the manifold vacuum drops because the cylinder vacuum rises. As this happens more oil is sucked past the rings and the valve seals that burns and then produces smoke. This happens in all internal combustion engines but shows up more with added wear and tear.

Not a smart thing to do!! No oil filter will trap the dirt from used Motor oil.

the dirt eventually settles to the bottom of the 1000 litre totes so as long as you never drain it completely the dirt will stay there.

A diesel has very little if any vacuum.
That is why they don't have much deceleration when you release the throttle.

If you say so.
I do know a guy that has a third Gen that will run quarts of his waste oil to a tank of pump fuel, but he put on a FASS system and a fuel filter setup from a big rig.
Still any knowledgeable diesel mechanic will tell you that it is not a good thing to do.

During the oil crisis in the late 1970's quite a few of the large trucking companys used the drained motor oil mixed into the fuel.
With the emission controls and rules now days I don't believe any do that any more.
