Saddleblankets are under-rated. Love the under the knee storage and the material is super durable. I only paid $40 at Advance Auto last year. My old 78 D150 had one but it fit better. I think the back went all the way to the bottom but the new saddleblanket it only goes about a third of the way down the back. The new one is 1 pc and that's cool so that you don't lose your change or junk through the crack LOL. The headrest cover looked goofy so I didn't use it. I think on the newer ones the stretchy part looks weird cuz it has to fit more types of trucks as the years go by to make it one size fits all. I didn't have the rifle scabbard like SEAL's but I put an old add on Axius storage from a Ranger I used to own. Gave me lots of extra pockets. IMO you need all the extra storage you can get in a single cab.
As far as better mpg, dual exhaust, low restriction mufflers and open element air filter. I think it's more bang for the buck and sounds better. If you want to go super econo, I'll tell you what I did to my old beach bomber 71 Charger. I cut the "Y" and capped it to make one pipe and then ran a second pipe and put cheapo mufflers which in my case was Thrush tin cans but I don't think they make em anymore. But you could use glasspacks - good throaty sound and cheap price. Also econo, flip the lid on your air cleaner or cut holes in it to breathe better. If you cut the holes in the bottom no one will be the wiser.

Alrighty ill check that stuff out. Might be after baseball season cause im kinda busy but will eventually and update yall.
As for the paint, i went to my local hardware store and bought some all surface spray paint, comes in a kinda gold can with the color of paint for the cap. They sell like a shiny black and a dull black.

I love those saddle blanket covers too. I bought a crappy $8 one that fell apart in a month. Then I bought a $27 dollar one from advance auto. Its lasted about 6 months with no signs of wear so far. I used zip ties to hold it into place, and when it stretched a bit, I just added more zip ties. I got one of those belt-in center consoles for christmas. I love it. It holds a wallet, phone, parts, and about $50 in change.
As for the lid flip, I couldn't use my stock lid. The stud wouldn't reach through the hole upside down. I currently have the lid from a 78 buick regal on upside down. Seals good, and leaves a 1/3 inch gap. Its about an inch too wide though. I'm thinking about cutting it so its only a little bit wider than the filter element. That should give me a lot more flow, and still a good seal. I could tell a decent difference with just a glasspack and filter flip. The truck used to sort of fall on its face for a second if you floored it from a roll. Now it picks up a little bit better and pulls to 5k better. Not a huge difference, but for a total of $35, I'm not complaining. I might get about .0000001 mpg better too.
