low oil pressure?

Don't pound on it too much. Just like beating the dog, if you do it too much, it'll just knock that personality right out of it. JK...

On your oil pressure gauge, do you have the idiot light or actual gauge. I have the gauge myself and I'm begining to wonder if it's bad as well. I cleaned it with some carb cleaner before putting the motor back in. Just seems to be lower than what it should be imo. Don't know where it should be to tell the truth. Miine looks like an arch with 4 lines underneath. Second line from the left is where it mostly is and not higher while idling. It has dropped lower a little on occassion while put-putting around the neighborhood. The motor rebuilder would not put a hp oil pump and warranty it. Said it could damage seals and gaskets.

Any one ever heard of the O2 sensor affecting oil pressure? Thought I had read it somewhere on here but can't find it again.

Oil pressure is not effected by the O2 sensor.

My 87 has the same thing.
The smaller sensor is a switch to power the electric choke heater if I'm not mistaken.
