How to tell fuel tank size in 91 D-150?
#21
Since we're talking about fuel gauges...
When I first drove the truck home 2 years ago, I filled up the tank and it went to "E". I had never completely filled it up since only as much as half tank. I had changed out the fuel pump which has the sending unit. Since it registered anywhere up to that half tank since then I figured it "fixed" it. BUT, the other day I took a trip and filled it up again finally and it dropped to "E" again. Does that sound like a ground issue, short issue or gauge issue? Has anyone had this happen and fixed it?

Tank sizes
Hi, new here 👋
In my Mopar Truck parts catalog 1984-85 they mention four sizes 22/36 and 20/30 gallon.
Don’t know if the parts # are accurate for your year model, or if they changed them?
Part #
4279 481 22gal
4185 420 36gal
4279 842 20gal (mid-mounted)
4279 843 30gal (mid-mounted)
