want a nice diff cover, but broke like me?
i got bored today...i ended up taking off my diff cover on the fantastic 8.25...
i got a knotted wire brush for my 4 inch hand grinder..an went to town on it...then got some cheap clear coat an bam you see it...
cheap, easy, looks decent..also added new fluid as well that i got for free from my brother...total cost without fluid...about 15 bux..wirebrush being $10
word of caution...do NOT let that knotted wire brush get ahold of you...it will really ruin your day lol

I've got the 8.25 also. A lot of Jeeps have the same rear end too. RuffStuff Specialties makes a HD cover for them with a screw in plug instead of that crappy plastic one and you get a drain plug also. Future maintenance will be a breeze. This cover is thicker (3/8" iron not aluminum) machined flat and welded on both sides. You can get recessed tapered bolt holes if you choose to and they will throw in the special bolts. $130 but you get a lot for your money.
