35's Without Regearing??
I am leaning towards the skyjacker 6 inch lift with the nitro shocks. I hear the nitro give a stiffer ride, and since that is what im looking for i figure i might like it. I've heard that skyjacker is better than rough country, but not sure if its true. Has anyone run either of these companies that has any imput (or any other company that you do/do not recommend). From the pics I've seen, if I run a true 33/12.5 (was thinking the DC Mud Country), it doesn't look half bad with a 6 inch lift. I will post pics, but probably won't lift it until July. Once again thanks for the help!!
Is the kit your looking at a kit with springs or lift blocks? With a 6" spring lift you can rest assured that it is going to ride rough...very rough. As far as blocks; I've never been a big fan of additional or taller blocks.
Why not do a shackle flip on the back then you can use lower lift springs and get the height you want with matching springs in the front?

ok if your looking for 33's then u dont need a lift at all im running bfg all terrain 33x12r15 with my STOCK suspension and my front leafs are junk my front suspension is riding on the rubber bumbers so my front suspension is bottomed out all i had to do a trim my edges of my rockers so that i could turn and i am going to buy a superlift 5 inch lift its the best bang for your buck but if your not worried about spending a lot of money then buy a skyjacker lift
I have never been a fan of blocks, I was looking to do new leaf springs front and back, new shocks, maybe a steering stabilizer (though i don't think i need one) and any other nessisary componets to make it work. I would not be able to run 33's on my stock suspension without some serious fender triming, 31's are about the biggest i could go without major trimming. And even if i didn't need to lift it, I want to. Since mainly this will be a DD, how does the superlift perform on the road? As well as what would the complete kit run me, and will i need a leveling kit? Please keep the help coming!!
Hey 2x1972,
Is your Superlift system a full pack or add a leaf with blocks in the back?

I'm currently looking into the Superlift, so far it looks like a decent kit. Still wondering, am I going to need a leveling kit because the front springs are 5.5 in and the back are only 5. To me this seems like it will make my front end stick up quite a bit. Any comments on that? Also 2x1972, how are the 35's working with the 3.55 rear gearing. I want to run 35's, but was told it is hard on the truck and is a bad idea? The help is much appreciated!
Leveling kits are for 2WD trucks to eliminate the forward rake and make it look like a 4WD. 1/2" isn't gonna be noticed.
I'm really curious why you would want a stiffer ride if you are gonna use it as a daily driver? Ride quality and mannerisms will mean a lot in a daily street driver.
If you want some info an shackle flips, go to the RCC site and check out Jungle in the vendor section. He's got all the info you need. If memory serves me, it is good for 4 3/4" lift with your stock springs. Since he's in business for himself, he doesn't have the overhead and higher prices. He comes highly recommended.
