I just put 37s on my 77 w150 with 6 inches of lift and stock gears. I have a 440 in mine though. Highway cruising is fine, town driving it feels like a small block.

^^^ What stock gears do you have? My '72 still has the factory gears in it, but they are 4.10's...

Yes that would be okay. What engine, trans do you have, and what tires are you running? If you have an overdrive trans I would recommend 4.56/4.88's with 35's, or 4.10's with 33's. If you have a non overdrive transmission, and plan to drive on the road/highways often, go 4.10's with 35's.

By relatively good, you mean 6 right, instead of 4?

according to that chart on the other page 4.88 gears might almost be a bit to much gear for 35's unless you plan on going with larger tires at a later date. i think 4.10's or 4.56's should be good if you do any hiway driving but still want to be doing some off roading.
